Anybody here remember Golvellius: The Valley of Doom? It was an old MSX game that was then released by Sega for the Master System back in 1987. Today it's back, thanks to an iPhone and iPod Touch version from DotEmu and D4Enterprise.

Here's the backstory. Evil king Golvellius and his army are wreaking havoc in the valley. Only the knight Kelesis can save the day and liberate Princess Rena from the clutches of evil. You'll have to fight hordes of enemies and spend the gold you hoard to buy powerful weapons, equipment and enchanted artifacts.

This updated version features an improved UI, multiple secrets, and an intelligent save system. Hardcore retro gamers may also recognize the soundtrack, as Golvellius: The Valley of Doom features the 80s release's original music in high quality.

Golvellius: The Valley of Doom is now available on the App Store for US$ 1.99.
