Apple has formally announced that the App Store has now amassed an
archive of over 100,000 applications from first and third-party
developers, marking yet another milestone for the largest online app
storefront in the world, give or take a few thousand iFodder. No, I'm totally kidding.“The App Store, now with over 100,000 applications available, is clearly a major differentiator for millions of iPhone and iPod touch customers around the world,” said the senior VP for worldwide product marketing, Philip Schiller, via Apple's press release. “The iPhone SDK created the first great platform for mobile applications and our customers are loving all of the amazing apps our developers are creating.”
The App Store's 100,000 apps are spread across 20 categories, available in 77 countries, and scores 10,000 downloads a day. Cool numbers.

100,000 apps of large crap!
apple your gloating over something thats not very impressive.
Once again, only maybe 30 of these apps are of any use.
stop getting excited over crap
Command and Conquer is up now. Reviews are pretty polarized.
I've yet to find a decent RPG.
i completely agree. i have 7 app store apps on my iphone. most of whats on the app store is just pure garbage coded by amateurs looking to make a quick buck ever since 1 dev said he had made a million from the app store anyone with the most basic of coding skills has jumped on and tried to "scam" us into buying their junk.
