Be careful while sharing. Unlike in the Mac or a PC, you cannot create several different user accounts for you to share your device with other people without them getting access to your information. This makes the iPad a single user device and whoever you give your iPad to has access to your data. Some safety tips while sharing is clearing browser cookies, cache and history as well as disabling the autofill option in the safari. You can also use software’s such as 1Password to encrypt information in your iPad.

Keep your iPad updated. The final safety tip is to make sure that you keep your iPad regularly connected to iTunes so that it can be updated as frequently as possible. With every update Apple improves its security for the iPad. You don’t want to miss any of these updates and risk the security of your iPad. Follow these policies. Lets us give you seven policies which you should follow. Some of them have been mentioned below while some are new. Here goes.

1)      You need to get email session encryption. 2)      You need to be able to wipe devices when they get lost or stolen. 3)      You need to always protect your device with passcode locks. 4)      You need to switch on auto lock after a fixed period of inactivity. 5)      You need to switch on the option for auto wipe after 10 failed login attempts. 6)      You need to protect your configuration profile. 7)      You need to keep refreshing your policies. Some of the good vendors for security software are Trust Digital, Good, MobileIron and Afaria among many others. Make sure you get something installed on your iPad to keep it encrypted. So, these were a list of safety tips for the iPad. If anyone can suggest any more safety tips please put them in the comments section below.
