How to copy paragraphs?

By simply tapping on the text with your finger for 4 times you will be able to select the whole paragraph. However, this will only work for paragraphs which are editable.

How to email URLs from the safari browser?

First tap on the ‘+’ icon at the top of the browser. You will be given some options, choose ‘Mail Link to this Page’. This will open a compose message page and you will be able to email the URL.

Private browsing and Full screen mode on the iPad.

Unfortunately, the native Safari browser on the iPad does not support full screen browsing or private browsing. Fortunately, there is a free app in the App store known as Full Screen Private Browsing app (pretty appropriate name, don’t you think?) which will allow you to do so. As soon as you open the app, all the history, cookies and bookmarks will get deleted. The other cool feature which this app brings is that it allows you to browse Safari in full screen mode. This means it will hide the menu bar, address bar etc and give you more real estate to browse in. There are other paid apps which can also offer other features apart from the two mentioned above. Some examples are iCab Mobile, Browser Duo and Atomic browser.

Thumbnail View.

Sometimes you may end up opening several different tabs while browsing on your iPad. To keep you better organised you can get a thumbnail view of all the tabs open on your browser. Tap on the icon which is to the left of the bookmarks icon and a thumbnail view will open. This can allow you to easily navigate between different tabs.

Smart Links.

Tapping on the address of any contact will bring up the map and directions for that address. Similarly, if you tap on the name or number of the contact you will be given complete details of the contact.

How to search for text in Safari?

To be able to search for text within the web page you will have to buy an app in the store for $1.99. This ‘Find in Page’ plug-in will allow you to search for words you are looking for in the text within the web page. A translucent bar appears at the bottom of the browser after you install this app.

How to take a screenshot of a particular website?

Do this by pressing the Home button and Power button of the iPad simultaneously for a split second. This will take the screenshot of the web page you were viewing and will save the image in the photos folder.
