Use it for better audio via USB headsets Although the iPad's integrated audio is decent, it cannot compare to the experience when using headphones or headsets. Let's say you threw down a good chunk of change on a pair of USB headsets that provide awesome sound. Why let them go to waste? With the iPad Camera Connection Kit, you can connect them to the tablet and enjoy some much improved audio quality. To do so, you will have to use the USB connection that comes with the kit. Plug it into the iPad and then plug in your headset's USB connection. Your mileage may vary in terms of how long you have to wait for the iPad to accept the headsets, but it should not take too long. Once complete, you now have a new way to enjoy audio on the device. Besides just being able to listen to improved audio, your USB headset may be a bit fancy and have some audio controls. It's quite possible that these controls can be used to manipulate whatever audio function you are using on the iPad. If it has a microphone included, that should be able to work as well for chat purposes. Use it to connect various devices via a USB hub Perhaps you have several electronic devices at your disposal. What if you also have a USB hub and want to connect all of them so they are ready for use? The iPad Camera Connection Kit can help you out. For this hookup, you will need the USB connector that comes with the kit. You can connect it with the hub which will enable the device for use with the iPad and whatever else you need to use. Of course, you will have to keep in mind that if you connect a bunch of power hogs to the hub that you could drain the iPad's battery in a jiffy. Results will be different depending on the device you are connecting, so some trial and error may be in order here. Still, you should find that it works well if you want to connect multiple items such as a keyboard or camera at the same time. That concludes this Tips and Tricks series on the iPad Camera Connection Kit. Be on the lookout for more tips and tricks to come.
