Well, it’s pretty far beyond the point where we could assume that Angry Birds Star Wars is an elaborate practical joke. So I guess we’re just going to have to take it.

Here’s the latest gameplay trailer, which besides the whole “stealing your childhood” thing actually looks pretty fun:

It’s kind of cool to see that Rovio has taken elements from the original Angry Birds and Angry Birds space and mashed them into one game, which should be a strong selling point for anyone that’s late to the Angry Birds party. And, honestly, the game looks super fun.

That’s the problem with Angry Birds—no matter how much you try to hate it, the fact remains that it’s a solidly made mobile game with a lot of replay value and a metric crap-ton of personality.
