IPad users on Windows targeted with Malware

IPad has been able to gain a lot of success over a short period of time due to the utility and comforts it provide. However, we cannot forget the fact that as soon a gadget is successful, it also attracts a lot of people to play dirty tricks. There are a lot of scammers who have been distributing emails that can trick the iPad users. They have been trying to invite people to download a software program which they claim as itune update but is actual can ruin your iPad.

The subject line of the emails that they are floating says “iPad Software Update”, when you open the mail and the link that has been provided by them, it will direct you top a webpage that appears to be an authorized itune download page. However, the link ends up downloading something else that can be termed as malware.

This malware gets its way into the “explorer.exe" and works like a back door from where the attackers can make an entry in your system and can control the system when ever they want to. It also tries to get the serial numbers and the keys to control the software’s that are uploaded on your iPad.

However, as per the latest post the Mac users as not being affected by this malware.
