iPad to launch April 3rd - Will you be ready?

By now, you've heard that the iPad is launching April 3rd. Most of you are putting away your allowance for the lowest priced unit, while others are ready to dish out a fist full of money for the most-expensive unit. Are you really ready though? Many of us already have iPhones or the iPod Touch, so we already know what to expect. Just a bigger iPhone right? Wrong. The iPad will have the following features that the iPhone will not/can not have:

• 1024 x 768 screen that's just sick to look at. Video games will look freaking amazing on this machine.
• The CPU is a beast. Everything including the kitchen sink loads fast on this baby. And the scrolling? Effortless.
• Ebook ready. Need I say more? Ok I will. Not only will it have the iBook feature, but just think about the countless hours of page-flipping you will save. No more paper cuts!!
• Games, Games, Games. You might as well be holding a PS3 in your lap as far as the graphics are concerned.

We do have the things that suck about the iPad, and hopefully they will fixed sooner, rather than later.

• WTF? No camera? Are you serious apple? the iPhone has a camera. The iPod Touch has a camera. Even my 80 year old grandma has a camera. WE NEED A CAMERA!
• No multitasking what-so-ever. I can't see how you can use this for business quite yet. First one to make the iPad into a multi-tasking machine (either through an application or hack) wins. I want to listen to my Jay-z while I'm pushing paper weight (invoices that is).
• You would think for a "bigger iPhone" you would have a better keyword. Not yet responsive enough to write a novel, but thats why they make updates.
• No flash? Once again, first one who turns iPad into a Flash lover (either through an application or hack) wins. I'm giving away stuff over here, so it may be YOU.

With that being said, I WILL be getting one. I might be giving one away in an official iPadPig contest. It all depends on how many jerks I have to fight to get two of them. Stay tuned for more news from iPadPig. Sincerely, The iPadPig Team (oink)
