I avoid those “win a free iPad ads” like the plague because most of them are totally bogus, but here’s one that seems legit. Online retailer eBay is running a holiday promotion that should attract plenty of traffic to the site, because they’re giving away one iPad per day from November 26-December 20. To register for he sweepstakes, go to this page and sign in with your eBay login. You have to re-register every day, and there are some rules and restrictions on the page. Obviously, eBay isn’t just playing Santa because they’re such good guys. They know that the holiday shoppers who come to the site to register for the free iPad are likely to hang around to check out the merchandise. In this crappy economy, we’re all looking for the best deals, so this is a win-win for eBay and the folks who win.
