iPad News: Verizon, Sprint, AT&T to Offer Galaxy Tab?

Samsung is set to debut its Galaxy Tab to the US market at an event in NYC on Sept. 16, and the Wall Street Journal is reporting that the company already has deals in place with three wireless carriers. Sources claim that Verizon Wireless, Sprint Nextel Corp. and AT&T Inc. have signed on to distribute the Galaxy Tab, and will likely offer a subsidized retail price. week, Samsung product exec Hankil Yoon estimated the retail price of the Galaxy with service contract would be $200-300. In contrast, the cellular-equipped iPad is carried only by AT&T and prices start at $629. This price break could make the Galaxy a major competitor for the iPad—if the reports about price are true.
