iPad News: Twitter Launches iPad App

Twitter started out as an amusing toy that let users tell the world what they were doing right that minute in 140 characters or less, but that’s not all you can do with the service if you try their official app for the iPad. What can you do? Keep up with friends by sharing links, videos and photos, send DMs, plus see what’s happening all over the world with maps and trending topics. The sliding panels make it easy to navigate content, and a tap on any tweet will reveal linked content such as hashtag searches and profile information. The app just came out today, but has gotten almost uniformly positive reviews from users, so it’s definitely worth checking out. Download free at the Apps Store.
