iPad News: Is Your iPad Making You Sick?

Just in time for flu season, the Journal of Applied Microbiology has found that the shiny surfaces of devices like the iPad or iPhone are perfect for spreading nasty germs to your skin. Stanford doctoral student and co-author of the article Timothy Julian told the Sacramento Bee: “If you’re sharing the device, then you’re sharing your influenza with someone else who touches it. If you put virus on a surface, like an iPhone, about 30 percent of it will get on your fingertips.” Euwww! Obviously, you can’t dip your iPad into a vat of alcohol, so the next best solution is regular use of antibacterical wipes. Or telling everyone else to keep their grubby mitts off your iPad.
