iPad News: 21 Million iPads in 2011?

Apple analyst Gene Munster is definitely a savvy observer of the tech giant, and told CNBC his thoughts on the future of Apple in general and the iPad in particular. Munster sees a very bright future for the tablet, saying, “The iPad is the Mac of the masses. We’re going to see adoption from people who can’t typically buy an Apple product. We’re already seeing it in Latin America and China.” Munster also sees the iPad making inroads into corporate America. “We track the number of meetings that Apple has with corporate clients versus education. Typically 75% of those meetings are with education but now it's gone to 50%-50%.” Given this sunny outlook, Munster predicts Apple will sell 21 million iPads in 2011, up from his previous estimate of 14.5 million. I’m sure some naysayers will scoff at this prediction, but they’re probably the same ones who expected the iPad to tank before it came out.
