iPad Mini Could be Ridiculously Thin |
Listed in: iPad News Tags: apple, ipad mini, rumors
Whether you love or hate Apple, it’s hard to deny that the iPad can pretty much sell itself nowadays, even with its hefty price tag. Some people want the iPad for gaming, web browsing, and more, while others with extra cash to throw around want one just to be trendy. Regardless, the iPad has its fans.

The upcoming release of what many call the iPad Mini could attract a whole new crowd with its smaller form factor and what should be lower price. How small could it be? Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst with KGI Securities recently said it could be as thin as the next iPhone. How can they do it? Kuo said Apple will be the first manufacturer to use GF Ditto (GF2) touch-screen technology. This means you can expect an iPad Mini that is not only super thin, but super light as well.
There’s a tradeoff to having such thinness, and Kuo said the difficulty of integrating GF Ditto technology is causing a delay in the iPad Mini’s production and release date. Then you also have the whole issue about durability and passing drop tests.
Is the iPad Mini’s thin and light design enough to push you to finally become an iPad owner, or will you stay away? Let us know what you think!

Um...NO! You have to root Android and in many cases that voids your warranty just as jail breaking does. So no, you can't do whatever you want with it.
Also, the fact that Android is open source means nothing to the average person. They buy a device, they use a device. End of story.
