Early Builds of OS X 10.9 Include Siri and Apple Maps?

OSX has been around for quite some time now, and over the years it has been introduced to quite a few changes and additions. In more recent times, we have seen the migration of features from iOS into the Macbook and iMac world. With features like Notification Center, AirPlay, Dictation, Game Center, Reminders, Notes, and iCloud document syncing in OSX Mountain Lion, it's no secret that Apple is trying to make a more unified experience between its mobile and computing options.

That being said, it comes as no surprise that rumor reports from 9to5Mac indicate that the similarities are even going to increase over the next major software upgrade. Most notably comes the possible addition of Siri to the much larger devices. Previously this voice command feature has been reserved for only the latest Apple devices, but its possible those stats are about to get bigger. The only real stumbling block that lies in the way of this rumor is the simple fact that OSX already features Dictation which operates in a very similar manner. It's possible then in the future that this framework might be altered and renamed to reflect a more uniform title.
Second, (and most controversially) comes Apple Maps. There's no denying that its inclusion in iOS 6 in its current state was certainly questionable at best, but like it or not this will be the company's designated way to get aerial views of streets and turn by turn directions. Should this option be included, the ability to add a working map will be possible on computers as well as mobile devices. As we all know, the service is bound to improve with time, so hopefully by the launch of 10.9 things will be looking much more stable. All in all, the differences in platforms continue to dwindle from iOS to OSX.
