In May, parent company 38 Studios of Rhode Island went belly up due to no funds. Former pitching great Curt Schilling was a leading member in 38 Studios who in recent times have left a path of financial devastation. Schilling's 38 Studios problems included bankruptcy which impacted many divisions including Big Huge Games.

An epic rival deserves epic credit. Epic Games in North Carolina has recently opened Impossible Studios in Hunt Valley, Maryland with more than 35 former Big Huge employees being hired to fill the void. And they plan to hit the ground running.
The first game on Impossible Studio’s slate is Infinity Blade: Dungeons which is a role-playing game designed for users of touch based screens. Epic’s sub division company, Chair Entertainment will also be lending its creative hand to develop Infinity Blade.
All across the board major Video Game companies like Rockstar and EA have experienced hard times due to slumping game and console sales and the ever emerging social media video games which are drastically undercutting their profit margins.
