Apple Claims That Including Flash Would Impact iPad Battery Life.

Apple iPad will be released without the popular inclusion of flash technology. Steve Jobs, head honcho at Apple, claims that Flash would require too many resources for stock inclusion on the Apple iPad. Too many resources being used at one time means the battery won't last very long under standard operating conditions. Everyone wants the longest battery life possible and highest performance, so the inclusion of this popular entertainment technology is a moot point. Why subject the iPad to more work load than its battery is capable of handling? It just doesn't make sense. iPad comes equipped with the Iphone OS, able to operate at a higher level of performance because of the heftier hardware specs. The faster processor speed and additional RAM, however, doesn't change a tablet PC's battery life. Even if the iPad was capable of operating Flash efficiently, the extra workload would put a damper on battery conservation efforts. Naysayers believe that Flash would have no effect on the battery life whatsoever. Mostly, this opposition is coming from fans of the Flash technology. These Flash aficionados want Flash to be included on the iPad no matter what. They would more than likely say anything they could to have this software technology supported on the iPad. Unfortunately, the amount of resources required to run this software efficiently are just not there. What good would including a technology that couldn't perform efficiently do for mainstream America? None! And that's exactly what Steve Jobs is saying. Apple is in thorough agreement that Flash is too resource intensive to be included on the iPad. While future versions of Apple iPad may include upgraded battery technologies and an increase in processor speed/RAM, right now Flash is not a possibility. It's like trying to run a high end game on a low class machine, there are bound to be problems. Future versions of the iPad will be Flash compatible, so stay tuned!
