An iPad Mini Recap |
Listed in: iPad News Tags: apple, ipad mini, ipad mini camera, ipad mini price, ipad mini processor
You've probably heard all of the latest news about the iPad Mini by now, but sometimes between all of the various reports that come flying in it's somewhat hard to keep track of them all. As you know, there are plenty of so called "tech" sources out there that don't get their facts straight, so we're here to help to consolidate all of that stuff into one conscience and correct list. Will you be ready to pick up a smaller iPad? I want to help you find out!

Display: The first (and maybe most controversial) think about the iPad Mini is it's display. For viewing you'll be getting a full 7.9 inches to browse all of the web and media content you desire. However, if you're looking for retina quality, you won't find it here. The resolution is in line with the iPad 2 at 1024x768 which is still pretty good, but enough to make some complain.
Camera: The camera might be the best part of the smaller iPad. It's a gorgeous 5MP piece of hardware that will shoot in full 1080p. If you're keeping score, that is indeed the exact same camera from the latest iPad model.
Processor: This is another piece that may cause a bit of unsettling for some. The processor is an A5 chip which again brings us back to the iPad 2. Yes, it does pale in comparison to the A6 or A6X, but for most people it should get basic tasks done.
Price: The last real debate people are going to have is about the price. Depending on how much you would like to pay, it comes in three configurations related to price, while two additional options are found with regards to LTE connectivity. For capacity, the pricing is
16GB ($329) / 32GB ($429) / 64GB ($529) while those that want 4G can tack on an additional $130 bucks. At most, you'll be paying $660 while the cheapest option sits at $329.
When: The iPad Mini hits store shelves on November 2nd, but preorders start this Friday October 26th.
Will this be enough for you to buy, or are you still more sold on that Google Nexus?
