Spirit jailbreak to be released as early as tomorrow? Start backing up your SHSH blobs NOW.

We've been waiting anxiously since the first sighting of a jailbreak on the iPad was previewed almost a month ago. Now with the iPad 3g less than 24 hours out, Dev-team has posted a new blog post titled "Calm before the Spirit storm". They have posted a list of "useful things to know about the Spirit Jailbreak". I suggest you take a minute to go over the following points.

Spirit is an untethered jailbreak.
Spirit works on all devices. (However, the redsn0w and PwnageTool flows will continue to work on those devices they’ve always worked on)
Spirit does not include a carrier unlock. (Please don’t bug @comex about that)
Spirit requires your device to be activated or hacktivated

The Dev-Team also recommends that you back up all of your SHSH blobs a.s.a.p. With the 3g version of the iPad shipping tomorrow there is no telling if Apple might release any unnecessary updates. We recommend backing up with Firmware Umbrella. They've made it clear that they don't plan on announcing an actual release date for the Spirit jailbreak. "No, because you will complain if there is a delay, etc." says Dev-Team member @chpwn when asked if there will be a release date for the Spirit jailbreak. Whatever they have up their sleeves, it's almost a sure thing they plan on releasing it within the next couple days. It's clear that the both Geohot and the Dev team members all agreed to hold off on any sort of jailbreak release until at least the arrival of the iPad 3g. With the risk of Apple patching any sort of exploit before they ship the new device. We already know dev team member @chpwn was attempting to sell his base model to pick up the newer 3g device.
