5th Cell recently brought its Nintendo DS hit, Scribblenauts, to Apple’s iOS software. The game was a smashing success, and even managed to topple Angry Birds from the top software slot for a couple of weeks. With performance like that, it’s no wonder that the development company is targeting their newest game, Run Roo Run, directly at the iOS market.
As you can see, Run Roo Run operates in much the same way as Robot Unicorn Attack - your character automatically runs across the screen, and you have to collect goodies and avoid hazards as you go. The one major difference is that in lieu of scrolling across an infinite screen, your auto-running will be limited to one screen length. 5th Cell dubs this setup “microplatforming.”
You can expect to find a whopping 420 levels on launch day, with increasingly complex and difficult problems. Plus, you’ll unlock “extreme” versions of every level as you go, giving you a total of 840 levels to play. 5th Cell has promised 10 new levels every week, free of charge.
Not too shabby for mobile gamers, eh? Watch for Run Roo Run on the iTunes Store tomorrow, January 12.

Looks fun but it also looks like it might get boring. Content overload.
