By far, the most impressive aspect of Real Racing HD is its look. The HD graphics are stunning, and look awesome in full-screen mode on the iPad. The color and detail are awe-inspiring. One interesting feature is that you can customize the look of your ride by importing a car skin from your photo album. One area where graphics really shine are in the race replays, where you can watch and learn from your mistakes as well as simply enjoy the HD look of the game.

As far as options go, you have five different game modes to choose from. If you want to jump right into the action, choose Quick Race. For more lengthy gameplay, choose Career Mode and its 76 events. To improve your technique, choose Time Trial. For interactivity, choose the Online Leagues. Finally, you can choose multiplayer with up to six players over a wireless network. To keep things fresh, the game has plenty to offer besides its various gameplay modes. You can choose from twelve different tracks that take you through different terrains such as the Desert, Forest, or City. You also have a whopping 48 different cars to choose from across four different classes: Hatch, Sedan, Muscle, and Exotic. You will start off with the Hatch class to gain your bearings, and as you progress you will move onto more difficult, yet sportier cars to manage. If you need music to keep you going, you can listen to the game's soundtrack or add your own tunes. Gameplay is a bit difficult to grasp at first, but you can choose between different difficulty settings that will help you along. You can choose to have automated acceleration and braking, or do it by yourself manually. As you move along through the game you will unlock more cars and progress through more difficult courses. The better you get at the controls, the more fun the game becomes. Racing fans should definitely pick up Real Racing HD. It only costs $9.99, and is a must have for the iPad. You will surely enjoy the graphics, and its variety of cars and courses offer great replay value.
