iPad Games:: The Roswell Game: All Is Revealed From Area 51

The Roswell Game is for between 2 and 4 players. Your task is to pilot your space craft around the screen without flying into the fixed walls and to collect the little gems that appear. It’s the most fun when you have the maximum 4 players as the screen gets wonderfully crowded with opposing craft. My sons tried to be clever and play 2 space craft each at the same time… That's like retro extreme gaming and not for the faint-heated! The player collecting the specified number of gems wins the round. The Roswell Game gets really interesting when ‘wild card’ gems appear that enable you to hunt your opponents or gives all players guns to shoot each other out of the skies! This may all sound rather mundane, but believe me it’s a wonderfully intense play and full of fun. The controls for The Roswell Game are located in the iPad’s 4 corners. A new player’s space craft is launched when you touch that corner’s virtual joy pad. If the gun wild card is played then a fire button appears next to the joy pad for a blasting time. The fantastic thing about Philipp Lensson’s games is that they are excellent playing concepts first. The Roswell Game is fresh, fun, exciting and addictive. It’s playability is matched by its delightful retro branding and it’s ‘mythology’ (have a read of the iTunes page!) And for the moment, it’s free.
