iPad Games: Predator is a Glorious Gruesome Gorefest

My usual experience with movie tie-in games if that they are full of fancy fluff and funlessness. They seem to be part of the whole marketing vehicle of the movie and not given sufficient development time as individual entities. That’s a bad move; playing a poor game will make me less likely to see the movie. Predator is completely different. Having played the game and loved it, I certainly plan to take in the movie when I get the chance. The game is playable, fast, challenging and intuitive as any iPad game should be. The graphics and animation are well up to the job, and the squelching noises of disembodied enemies are a macabre delight. This game gives you the opportunity to play the Predator. That’s an interesting angle which opens up possibilities of otherworldly weapons and enhancements throughout the course of the game. The game itself runs to 24 fantastic levels where you are pitted against the ever-increasing blood-lust of battling bands of humans. As you slaughter your way through the levels, collect trophies to unlock more alien technologies. Gameplay is intense and requires you to develop your predator skills.
