At its heart, We Farm is actually a well-designed trading game. The aim of We Farm is to build an increasingly successful farm, rebuilding your dwelling to a grander and larger home until it looks like something out of a Period drama movie from England. As you begin with absolutely nothing, you can lay out your farm as you like. You may begin by planting corn and raising pigs for example. Raise your crops and your pigs to maturity then sell your corn or take your pig to the fair to try for a prize. Your pig will have to be happy to win, and cosseting your livestock effectively before going to fair is one of the knacks of the game. Winning a prize is great news as it means you can earn money by breeding prize animals for sale. Expertise comes with deciding when to increase growth rates by using your limited supply of “Grow”. Applying “Grow” to anything will bring it instantly to maturity, but you must use it wisely as you only have a small amount per level. Buying and selling earns you gold, and you’ll trade with real people playing this game. Like Facebook you can only link up with people who you invite or who invite you. Obviously the more links you have the more you can trade and the more gold you earn. Gold is used to enhance your farm in a host of ways from establishing new crops and livestock areas, to grounds improvements, fencing, signage and new building works such as silos. It’s the depth of possibilities in this game that really makes it stand out. And how does ngmoko make their money?
