City Bucks has you developing your own downtown area with buildings such as shops, beauty salons, cinemas, bars and cafes. The idea is to attract more customers than your opponent. The gaming screen offers a bird’s eye view of the downtown area below, and it’s a delight to watch all the little people scurrying into your buildings. The ultimate aim is to generate more cash than your opponent. This provides you with more opportunities for development and for services like increased security. If you want, you can also play dirty: look out for a popular building constructed by your opponent, one where a lot of customers flood but with low security… then rob it! There are some wonderfully funny random events to add further spice to City Bucks. Watch as a flying saucer hovers over the downtown, firing its lasers and destroying buildings. Quake with fear as a huge monster terrorises the streets of your city. It’s so imaginative and such absorbing fun. Gameplay is extremely easy: just tap and drag your chosen building from the menu onto the map. The better placed your buildings are, the more customers they will attract. City Bucks is a fantastic game given that it’s free. Don’t worry about downloading something that’s boring or pointless; City Bucks could easily be a paid-for app and still be well worth the download.
