The first is the Classic mode which is the most relaxed mode of playing. You get a full grid of tiles and you get sufficient time to complete the game. The Timed mode is basically the Classic mode with a shorter time limit. The third mode, Tumble is most interesting. It is like a mixture between Scrabble and Tertris. You have tiles with letters falling from the top and you need to immediately make words up before all your tiles reach the top. You also have a career summary where you can see how many matches you won or lost, a ‘vocab power’ score and also a way to define your words using Wikipedia.
The single player mode has very smooth graphics but unfortunately while playing with opponents over Wi-Fi causes some slowing down. Other issues include a ‘failed to register push notification’ error which appears when you launch the app. Click ok and the game starts but this needs to be rectified. Also while logging onto Facebook the login window covers the whole screen which creates problems in logging in.
This game regardless of the small niggles and gripes is still a great game. If you like and enjoy word games then you should definitely buy it. You can find it in the Apple app store for reasonable $1.99.| 100% of voters think this story ROCKS! |
