Game streaming service coming to the iPad

Big Fish Games are a Seattle based development company and are now set to release the first cloud game streaming service for the iPad.

The monthly subscription price will increase to $6.99 once new games have been added in 2012.

A free subscription that will contain adverts will also be available, with playtime in the free version limited to 30 minutes per day.

An Android version of the Big Fish Games game streaming service is planned for 2012.

There will be a central Big Fish Games application for the iPad and it will operate similar to the Netflix streaming subscription that is currently available for the iPad.

The Bigfish Game library includes "Mystery Case Files" and the "Mahjong Towers" series, amongst a number of other titles.

What do you think this will mean for the future of iPad game development?

Streaming services for video games such as those provided by Onlive have yet to really make an impact in the way we play our games, but the model may fit a little better with a mobile gaming audience.

As mobile games often have a little less playtime, this gives gamers a chance to play all the titles that a developer has on offer, for what you would expect, a lower price than buying all the titles outright

Not at all. These are only games from one publisher. $7 is a joke.

You can buy their games for $1 each. Why the hell would anyone pay $7 a month?
