If you're looking for a new free game to play on your iOS device, look no further than the newly released Furmins free version by the developer known as Housemarque. With over one hundred puzzling levels, lush animations, and more strategy than you could ever imagine, this touchpad-based title is about as full as they get. Plus, who doesn't want a good free game ever now and again.

Essentially, when we're talking about Furmins, the plot of the game is somewhat similar to that of LocoRoco which was originally launched on the Playstation Portable. Your goal is to get all of your fuzzy ball characters into the basket at the end of each map while trying to navigate around a series of obstacles. Between maze-like maps and enemies along the way, there is a chance that you will lose a group member or two, but it is your job as their trainer to make sure that as many of the little creatures make it safely to their home as possible. Once you set the map in motion, quick reflexes are the only thing that will save you in a game like this one.

What can we expect from the free version specifically? You'll get a full 108 levels scattered across eight different worlds with the first one being open automatically. The catch however, is that to open subsequent worlds you must buy "100 starts" for about a dollar each or a bundle of 700 starts for about $4.00 to unlock the whole experience. It's true this in-app purchase system is a little bit of a mess, but at the very least, at least Housemarque is offering some kind of try before you by policy with Furmins. Who doesn't love anything that's just a little bit free?
