Even if you don’t play the game, you’re probably familiar with Angry Birds. Maybe you saw someone wearing an Angry Birds shirt, or noticed some Angry Birds-themed candy at the store. Angry Birds has become something of a cultural phenomenon, generating millions in cash for its creators in the process.

And while Rovio has been happy to add levels and release themed Angry Birds-type games, it was only a matter of time before they broke from form to create something new. Amazing Alex is the first of such projects, and looks to be a pretty solid entry into the market.

In the game, you’ll play as Alex, who uses complex machines to solve puzzles. Essentially, the game relies entirely on your ability to predict the results of the chain reactions you create with your machinery. The game comes with 100 levels initially, but if Rovio’s history is any indicator there will certainly be more on the way.

You pick Amazing Alex up now on iTunes and Android, or watch the launch trailer below:

This is such crap. Rovio DID NOT create this game. They bought it from someone else, added very little then slapped their name on it.

What a joke!

valve added alot to the original game, not to mention they incorporated the team that made the original game. i see your point, though, and i agree with it. there's no point in hating on such practices if the final result is as good as it can be.
