While I don’t suppose AirPlay can provide you with this feature but there is way by using 3^rd party applications. There is an app known as Print Central. This app allows you to print a file on your iPad remotely via 3G to any printer at Home or anywhere (where you set it up to). It works without by hitch but there is some setting up required before you can start using this app. iPad.net brings you details about how Print Central works and how you can set it up to enable the feature.

Remember, you will require an iPad 3G for it to work. 1) To start off, find and purchase ($8.99) the Print Central app from the App store. Install it on your iPad. 2) Next, you need to download the companion app on your computer. It is called WePrint. Download and install it. 3) You need to create a new Gmail account to use with Print Central. It is advisable to create a new account even if you already have an existing account. Needless to say, make a note of the username and password. 4) Go into the settings of WePrint and then Print via Proxy Tab. Here add the Gmail account credentials. 5) Once you finish entering the details you need to click on the Test button on the right. This is to check and confirm whether the connection works or not. 6) After this, go to your iPad and on the Print Central app. Tap on the + button on the printers screen. Add the same Gmail information in the Print Via 3G tab. 7) Once you have completed these steps you will be able to print documents on your iPad via 3G through the printer connected to your computer. One thing to note is that the WePrint app for your computer is a print server and is thus accessible through the internet. It has file sharing and the start automatically option on by default. You may want to switch them off for security sake.
