Hypothetically say they are not able to get access to your data and you are able to get your iPad back, they will surely be able to reset your device resulting in the deletion of all your important data.

The second limitation arises in the limitation of all touch screens. You may have seen in movies where robbers trying to steal from a vault being able to identify the touch screen passcode combination by tell tale patterns left behind by fingerprints. This is because the keypad for entering your passcode lock always appears at the same position each time. It’s a good idea if you can wipe your iPad’s screen with a cloth ever time you lock it. Think about enabling automatic data erasing. The iPad can be configured to delete all the user data in it if the passcode attempt fails for more than 10 times. You may want to be careful while configuring this in cases you have children playing with your iPad or if you are the forgetful kind.
