Am I limited as to what audio formats I can listen to on the iPad? The answer is yes, although the word “limited” might not be the proper one to describe your options. The iPad supports various audio formats, which include the popular MP3 format, as well as several others: AAC, Protected AAC (iTunes Store's MP4), HE-AAC (V1), AIFF, Apple Lossless, Audible (to include 2, 3, and 4 formats), MP3 VBR, and WAV. As you can see, the iPad has most of the audio formats covered, so you should not have many problems when it comes to listening to your audio files on the iPad. I want to use my iPad with a Bluetooth headset. Is this possible? Yes, you can use the iPad with a Bluetooth headset and other such enabled devices. The A2DP, or Advanced Audio Distribution Bluetooth profile is supported by the iPad. Using this capability, you can connect the iPad wirelessly to Bluetooth headphones or headsets to listen to music or other audio. This technology allows you to not be haggled by wires and also gives you a better range of motion for your setup when using the iPad's audio features. You can place the iPad on a table within your Bluetooth's range and lay back on the couch and relax as you listen to your favorite artists. The possibilities are numerous. I am listening to music on my iPad but want to shuffle the songs. How do I do this? Shuffling songs on the iPad is not hard once you figure it out. If you are listening to an album from one artist, you can shuffle the album's songs by first hitting the albums button and then selecting the particular album. Pick which song you want to hear first, and play it. In the bottom left hand corner you will see that album's cover and the Now Playing feature. Tap on that so that the album gets put into full screen mode. Once there, tap the screen twice, which will show you a list of all the album's songs. Look at the top right hand corner of the screen until you find the Shuffle function. Tap it, and voila, you now have just shuffled the songs on that album.
