The storage capacity of my iPad is not enough. Will it work with an external hard drive? Considering the vast amount of functions the iPad can perform and how addicting it can be to use, many will probably wish it had larger storage than its 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB versions provide. With laptops or other computers, if the hard drives are not big enough you can just by an external hard drive and hook it up via USB for extra storage. Unfortunately, at this time, the iPad will not accept or work with an external USB hard drive. Basically, you will have to survive with the storage capacity you currently have. That does not completely rule out the possibility that the iPad may work in the future with external USB hard drives, but for the time being it does not. In the meantime, just use the iPad as an extra device and use your PC as your main storage unit. I already have an iPhone and want to use its headphones with my iPad. Are they compatible? Luckily, you can use the iPhone's headphones with the iPad. This is some good news, as owners of both devices will not have to go out and buy an extra accessory. Its particularly good for music fans, or those who like to watch with added sound. Even better news is that the iPhone's headphone functions can be used with the iPad too. Users can listen with ease using the headphones and its features that can adjust the volume, toggle between songs, and pause songs. Even though the iPad has an integrated microphone, the iPhone headphones' microphone will work with the iPad too, giving you dual functionality. I have a standard USB headset and want to use it with my iPad. Can I?

The answer to this is that it is possible, but your mileage may vary. Like we mentioned in part one, Apple's Camera Connection Kit has a USB connection that has been reported to work with other USB devices and not only digital cameras. You could try this route and it may work, depending on what type of headset you have. Considering the Camera Connection Kit costs $29, some may feel this is too much of a gamble.
