However, you will find several apps in the App store which will give you this option. Out the many apps, iPad.net selects and brings you one of the best apps for annotating PDF files on your iPad. The name of this app is iAnnotate PDF and it is available on the App store for $9.99. The guide below will tell you exactly how to use this app and annotate PDF’s on your iPad. There are several annotation tools which are provided by iAnnotate. You can make revisions, add comments or highlight text on a PDF document. Also, performing annotation options are very simple using this app. However, before you can start annotating, you need to add PDFs to iAnnotate. Once you have done this, you can start doing stuff on your PDF file. Remember that it is always easier to annotate when the section of the file you want to annotate is visible on the iPad’s screen. Adding Comments: 1)      Once you have opened the PDF, you need to tap on the screen so that the Tools panel appears. You need to then tap to activate the comments tool. 2)      On the top of the screen an information bar appears. 3)      You need to then tap on the section of the PDF where you want to add comments. You will be provided with a text box in which you can type out comments. 4)      You can also use the icons present on the note to edit text, colour, size etc. Highlighting Text: Using this app to highlight text works a lot similar to the process of adding comments mentioned above. 1)      You need to first tap and activate the highlighter tool. 2)      Tap and drag your finger over the section of the text which you want to highlight. Selection of the text can also be made using the handles which appear at the end of highlighted text. 3)      It is also possible to add comments for the highlighted text by directly tapping on the text. 4)      You will be provided with clear visual instructions which makes working with iAnnotate and annotating text that much easier. Once you are done with all the annotations, you can save the PDF and also have an option to share the PDF. While $9.99 may be steep, iAnnotate is definitely the best and most user friendly annotating app available for the iPad.
