With HotelPal you can look up hotel listings for any location in the world and can also reserve rooms from it. Consider this situation, you are stuck at an airport for some reason such as a blizzard, flights are canceled and you need to find a hotel room for the night. With the HotelPal application, you can find comfortable, clean and affordable hotels directly from your iPad. On opening the app, your location on a map will be determined using GPS and all hotels (with their nightly rates) nearby will be displayed in the map. You can also manually pin your location on the map after which the app populates the map various hotels around the pin.

Once the hotels are marked on the map, a list of hotels available will be displayed at the bottom of the screen. Hotels can be bookmarked using the bookmark icon. If you want to get more information about the hotel such as facilities, rating etc you can tap on the hotel in the list and a brochure will appear. Though the brochure may not be as elaborate as looking up the hotel on the internet, you will be provided with enough information to be able to decide whether the hotel is right for you or not. Some hotels also feature various photos of their rooms and facilities which you can easily flick through.

HotelPal on your iPad allows you to reserve using Expedia.com. The process of reserving is fairly simple though, for most hotels you will have to provide your credit charge details to pay for a booking. HotelPal is definitely a good app aimed at those who travel frequently. It is always nice to have the power to choose and book hotels when you most need them.
