Marvel Comics for iPad gets official

As we heard would be the case yesterday, Marvel have officially revealed their new Marvel Comics app for iPad. Available to download now, the app itself is free but individual comics are priced at $1.99 per issue; 500 titles will be available at launch, and Marvel will be including the first issues of New Avengers, Captain America, Invincible Ironman, Super Hero Squad and Thor to whet your appetite. As well as viewing comics, the app will also be tied into Marvel’s comic shop locator in case readers really want a physical copy too. Transition through each panel is animated and controlled with a single finger-swipe
