White Noise Pro is a real cinch to use. Choose from the list or from scrolling icons of noises you wish to put in your audio. There are 40 sounds from which to choose, ranging from rainfall, a sailing boat and jungle noises through to various non-specific white noises in various keys. By far the best feature of this app is your ability to mix sounds together to make your own personalised ambient soundtrack. This increases audio possibilities innumerably, and ensures that your own specific tastes are met. Mixing these sounds is great fun. Click on a particular sound for it to appear on top of the person icon on the main screen. You may then move the sound around you, placing it as near or far as you wish. Doing same thing with a number of sounds creates a depth of sounds alongside audio crossovers and intermixing. You can easily play for hours experimenting with this; it’s great fun. Once you are happy with a mix you can save it for future use. A 24 hour clock is supported by White Noise Pro so you can accurately set your soundtrack to switch on and fade out whenever you wish. The clock display itself has a variable dim control and is available in a number of colors. I don’t use this app at night, but I find it very useful if I need a Sunday afternoon rest. Inevitably I set up White Noise Pro next to my bed and drift off to sleep, only to be woken by my girlfriend calling me for dinner. How chilled out is that?
