There are some excellent features that make USB Disk for iPad stand out. Perhaps the single most important thing is that it supports non-Apple documents, meaning that all your essential MS Office documents can be safely transferred to and viewed on your iPad. USB Disk for iPad organises your documents for you so that searching is kept to a minimum, and it bookmarks the place where you finished viewing a larger document so you can begin where you left off in your next session. This app supports large PDF files, iWork documents, popular picture formats such as jpg and gif, popular eBooks formats, audio files such as mp3 and wav, and video files such as mp4 and mov. Once USB Disk for iPad is synced with your desktop, files are transferred rapidly to form a simple list on your iPad screen. Overall content can be accessed via thumbnails, files can be emailed in or out of the app, and navigation is straight-forward using the iPad’s tap and swipe technology. The primary feature of USB Disk for iPad is its organisational skill. Without this there would be no need to download it. However, if you’re currently using a USB portable hard-drive to move or backup desktop data, it may well be worth you getting this funky little app for your iPad. Why use the invisible storage facilities of a dongle when you can have broad interactivity with this unique storage system? One more thing: USB Disk for iPad is free, so there it contains advertisements displayed at the bottom of the screen. Personally I don’t mind this, as app developers need to earn money somehow, but if ads irritate you then you’re better off sticking with your memory stick. USB Disk for iPad is available FREE from iTunes: http://itunes.apple.com/app/id=385275533
