Oprah has always had the magic touch, and this new app for iPad is no exception. The December issue of O, The Oprah Magazine, takes full advantage of the iPad’s interactive functions, starting with the animated cover of Oprah herself and including an exclusive interview of the daytime diva with director and longtime friend Tyler Perry.

Since this is the December issue, of course much of the content centers on the holidays, with 360-degree views of all the items in her enormous O List holiday gift guide. Just a tap lets users enter the “12-Day Holiday Give-O-Way” sweepstakes, and get a chance to win everything in the gift guide. Hey, Oprah never does anything halfway!

Even if you don’t win, there’s help with your holiday shopping with a personal gift list that can be e-mailed to friends and family, an online purchasing option for books and gifts, plus a slideshow on creating original decorative boxes for gifts you make yourself. Download for $3.99 per issue at the App Store.
