Whether you listen to NPR (National Public Radio) for the news or the music, you can get both on you iPad with this app. The stories are split into News, Arts & Life and Music, making it easy to access anything that grabs your interest. Most stories are available in both text and audio versions, and can be downloaded for offline reading or shared via e-mail, Facebook or Twitter. My favorite feature of NPR programming is the music shows, especially the ones that play new music, or artists you don’t normally hear on corporate radio. NPR’s First Listen lets you hear new albums in their entirety, sometimes prior to release. The app makes it easy to listen to live streams from NPR affiliates and bookmark your favorites.
