Stories about brides-to-be who freak out while planning their nuptials have become so common that there’s a term for them—bridezillas. The newly-engaged woman can save herself a lot of worry with Brides Wedding Genius, a free app for iPad from the respected Brides magazine. This publication has been the bible of brides-to-be since 1934, so they know their stuff. The app is easy to use and has magazine-quality photos throughout. There’s a “Guides” section featuring ideas for gowns and bridesmaids’ dresses, jewelry and travel. If you find something that strikes you, stash it in the “Inspiration Folder” for future reference. For an extra $3, download the Task Tracker that provides couples with a planning calendar based on their wedding date, and a quick way to e-mail tasks, ideas and status updates to others. The Brides Wedding Genius app is available free at the Apps Store.
