First, let's talk about the speed advantage that Note Taker HD offers. If you are taking notes for a class or business meeting, and love doing so on the iPad, using the virtual keyboard is a bit unnatural and can tire your hands. Using Note Taker HD allows you to use your finger in a simple handwriting motion to jot things down much quicker. You can also use a stylus if you wish. You might think that handwriting would be hard to fit on the iPad's screen, but you get an enlarged entry box at the bottom of the display that allows you to write in big font. The app will convert that font so that it can actually fit on a virtual line of paper for neatness. While taking your notes, you can do so in portrait or landscape modes. For added realism to the note taking experience, you can add diagrams and lines pointing to special topics. This is something that you would not be able to achieve by taking notes in a simple word processing program or a note pad. What I like best about the app is that it looks just like a real pad of paper. If you study, it might be easier on your mind to view your own handwriting. You can also highlight or add different font colors too. If you happen to make a mistake, you have several undo or redo options. You also have an eraser at your disposal that will fix your errors with a quick swipe motion.

Other features include the ability to email your notes to others, as well as save them as PDF files. This is quite helpful for use within a company or amongst study partners. Rather than flipping through a paper pad, you can find note pages with ease by using tags or favorites. You can also view visual thumbnails of your notes to quickly pick out the page you are looking for. Note Taker HD has more to offer and is really a must if you are a constant note taker. The download is $4.99 and is well worth it, as you would pay more in the long run for regular paper pads.
