The Fizz Weather, back in the Windows Mobile days, was quite a hit and so is the iPhone version. This is especially why the new HD version for the iPad is certainly worth a try. The Fizz Weather HD comes with an extremely clean main screen that displays just the name of the city, the current temperature and a brief summary of the current conditions- ‘mild/overcast’. As with most good weather apps, it is possible to track the weather in several cities and by simply swiping left/right, you can see those cities that you have added through the settings. The app’s User Interface is both elegant and simple. It is extremely easy to get maneuver and view the information from the single main page. The Maps, Weather and Charts are the 3 detailed sections of information that are reached via a single tap in the navigation bar that can be found at the bottom of the screen. Each of the sections can be shown/hidden and also collapsed/expanded with just a single tap. It really is that easy and quick. The only downside to this app is perhaps that it lacks depth and variety when it comes to weather information. This is especially for those that are looking for a proper, heavyweight weather app. Apart from that, there are absolutely no other flaws that one can find with this app. Overall, the Fizz Weather HD is a terrific combination of simplistic design and brilliant interface. It brings to its users a good range of information on the weather. If you are looking for reasonable information that you want to gather in just a glance, you have certainly got it. If you are looking for more detail, it’s pretty easy to get it as well. You can also personalize it by adding a custom background. Hence, for only $0.99, this app is highly recommended if you like keeping yourself informed about the weather.
