Bills for iPad has been ranked high on the iPad app list and shows just how important that topic is to many iPad owners. Then again, the bills topic is one important to everyone, unless you favor bill collectors coming after you or having services shut off. While the importance of bill paying has likely helped the app's popularity rankings, another thing that helps is that the app is simply an excellent tool in itself.
The design of Bills for iPad is very eye-catching and the developers at iBear deserve applause for it. When you open up the app it actually looks like a real office. There is a large calendar in the center that mimics that of a projector display. Right below that you have a desk with books/folders that represent features like Help. To the right side of the folders are file cabinets that are bill filters to help you sort. Finally, on the right side of everything is somewhat of a large chalk board that you would see in meeting rooms. This lists your bill data in detail for bills overdue, bills paid, and more.

While using the app may be a bit overwhelming at first, once you get the hand of it things seem to flow well and make sense. On the calendar you can list due dates for bills and when you will have a cash outflow. You can also list any big purchases you plan to make on a particular date. To manage your money, you enter a budget and as you go throughout the month you will be able to keep tabs on how you are doing in terms of budget versus expenses. Should you want to know how you stand in a particular area, you can filter bills to view overdue payments, planned bills, and paid bills. You can even export your app data to HTML and CSV files for use on a computer. If you are worried about another person seeing all of your data, there is a PIN protection feature too. Simply put, Bills for iPad is a solid tool to help you stay organized when it comes to bills. By converting all of your paper data into an electronic form, it is much easier and less stressful to keep track of your finances. At just 99 cents, it is also a bargain.
