iPad Accessory Review: TrendyDigital PadRide In-Car Carry Case

Just yesterday we reviewed a case from TrendyDigital that was good for carrying the iPad around and also a convertible stand. The PadRide is a bit different, as it is intended for use in a car. Not everybody has the luxury of having televisions built into their car seats. If you have an iPad and purchase the PadRide case, however, you can create a similar effect.
The PadRide is not meant to be pretty. It's a perfect example of substance over style. It has a basic black color scheme, and is made out of nylon. While not great-looking, the nylon does serve its purpose of protecting the iPad through the various bumps you encounter on the road. The interior of the case has protective padding as well to keep the iPad safe. This is important, as you will want the maximum protection possible for the device, especially if kids are going to be using it in the back seat unsupervised. To use the PadRide, you place the iPad inside, secure it, and then strap it onto the back of a car seat's headrest. By sitting in a suspended state, those in the back seat can relax and get a good view while movies play, rather than having to hold it in their lap. The case is secured by anchor loops, and its straps are adjustable to fit different car interiors. You can also use the case with the iPad in either landscape or portrait mode, depending on the task at hand.

When you reach your destination, you can use the PadRide as a carrying case as well. It looks like a simple laptop case, and it even has pockets to carry additional accessories. This dual-functionality of being able to use the PadRide in the car and out is a real plus if you do not want to shell out extra cash for a separate carrying case. Speaking of cash, the PadRide only costs $21.99. That is quite a fair price. For many parents, $21.99 is a small price to pay for some peace and quiet on family vacations.
