When it comes to looks, the PadPal is decent. It won't win any beauty contests, and it won't catch any envious stares like the Gucci case would, but it looks good enough so that you can take it into any environment or setting without being embarrassed. The PadPal has a black leather exterior that has just a bit of shine on it. A slight highlight to the all black look is provided by the gold-colored stitching that dots the surface. If you like simplicity, this case is for you, as you won't find a bunch of bulky add-ons jutting out all over the place. Thanks to this simplistic design, the PadPal is very portable and just big enough to do what it is intended to do, and that is hold your iPad. Frequent travelers will find its 0.5 pound weight to be a relief when carrying it around.
The PadPal is basically designed like a standard book cover. If you open it up, you will find a holding compartment for the iPad. The iPad can slide right into the compartment, and it is protected on all four sides. Despite the full covering, there is cut-out access to all the necessary ports and buttons. If you want to charge the iPad, you can do so without having to take it out of the case.

Besides the protection it provides, the PadPal also acts as a stand for the iPad. This is great if you want to prop the device up so you can watch videos without having to place it in your lap. The case converts into a stand by sliding it into one of four groves that grace the interior. Each of the four grooves provides you with a different viewing angle. You can set it how you like to accommodate yourself as you sit up, lay down, etc. When you are done using the iPad within the case and are ready to carry it again, the case can be closed but will keep the iPad secure thanks to two magnets that prevent it from swinging open. It's not the prettiest or the fanciest case around, the but PadPal from TrendyDigital should satisfy those looking for something that is multi-functional and affordable. You can find the PadPal at a retail price of $39.99.
