Before we begin, the Screen Care Kit is not a complete solution for iPad protection. If you want something extra durable that will transport the iPad and protect it from all the harmful elements, you will have to look elsewhere. Think of the Screen Care Kit as more of a maintenance purchase. The Screen Care Kit does just what its name suggests: it helps care for your iPad's screen. It comes with two items that can help you do so. The first is what is referred to as a premium cleaning cloth. This blue cloth is used for when you want to clean your iPad's display. The best feature of the cloth is that it allows you to clean the display without the need for any liquids. This helps save money but also keeps you from having to apply harmful chemicals to the display. God forbid you applied the wrong chemical, ruined the display, and then called Apple for help. I seriously doubt they would feel sympathetic, and you would find yourself with a half-worthless tablet. The cloth is useful against dust, smudges, and whatever other common daily hazards touch your display. Let's say you have sweaty hands and fingers. Maybe you like eating and then playing with the iPad. The cloth would definitely come in handy in your case. There's nothing more annoying than trying to watch video on the iPad or browsing the web when there is a plethora of smudges all over the place. The second item in the Screen Care Kit is a static peel screen protector. This thin film goes right on top of the iPad's display and is more of a preventative measure against smudges and other annoyances. Even better, it has a matte finish that helps reduce glare. Those who use the iPad in bright rooms or outdoors will definitely find the matte finish of the screen protector to be a huge help. At $24.99, the Screen Care Kit is a solid investment to help keep the iPad's display intact and free of irritating smudges and scratches. It won't fully protect your prized tablet, but it is an extra tool to help you protect your costly investment.
