You may have children who are hard to keep happy if you have to take a cross-country trip in your vehicle. As most parents know, this can be a huge pain and maybe even a deterrent for road trips. One way to have kids “keep a lid on it” is to keep them entertained. You could do so with a portable gaming device like a PSP, or you could invest in expensive in-car television sets that rest on the car's ceiling or headrests. If you have an iPad, however, you can convert it into an automobile entertainment device as well.
The Griffin CinemaSeat is quite simple in concept and design. It allows you to place the iPad in a case that will attach to the back of a car seat via the metal pipes that support the headrest. Perhaps the best part of the accessory is that installation is simple. Another good feature of the CinemaSeat is its practicality. Since it is not built into the car like a television set a car specialty shop would install, it makes your car less attractive for burglars and break-ins. The black adjustable strap on the back of the CinemaSeat was made to be wide enough to accommodate the majority of car seats. Since it employs Velcro, you can adjust it with ease. The back of the case also houses a small pouch that you can use to store small accessories. Besides converting the iPad into an entertainment solution within your car, the CinemaSeat also protects the iPad with its padded frame. When you are ready to exit your car, you can simply detach the case from the seat and take it with you as-is. It's also functional in the fact that it keeps all the necessary ports and buttons free from obstruction so they can be used at all times. If looks are a worry, don't fret, as its gray faux leather frame should fit in well aesthetically with most vehicle interiors. While it may not be the fanciest case around, the CinemaSeat offers a good solution for those wanting iPad entertainment while on the road. Also, at $39.99, it gives you an option that is much cheaper than installing televisions in your car.
