iPad Cradle If you tend to sit with your iPad on your lap, this is the accessory for you. Not only does this mini table place your iPad at a usable distance from your hands to enable easy use, it takes it off your lap. It doesn’t take long for the iPad to get pretty warm, and that can be pretty uncomfortable. This product is made from bamboo plywood so it light and easy to store. Use it whilst relaxing on your bed or sat in front of the TV. The top of this ‘lap table’ features an inbuilt turntable or ‘ cradle’. This keeps the iPad securely in place, and it allows you to rotate between portrait and landscape views. I really like this quirky little accessory, just for the novelty value. However, it is not cheap. If you fancy one you can order online for around $52. iPad Bacon Sleeve Yes, you read that right. Wrap your iPad up to look like a giant strip of bacon. This is at the grooviest end of groove, and I’m just waiting for the manufacturers to develop a couple of ‘Fried Egg’ sleeves to go with my iPhone and iPod! This is a functional sleeve. It is made of a soft fabric that offer decent enough protection from scratches, scuffs and the odd drop. Again I think the price is a little steep at $59. Then again, a tasty looking sleeve doesn’t come cheap… iPad Sock You can make your iPad all comfy and cosy by treating it to its own sock. These pouches are made of wool and available in a variety of colors. Described as a “unique and fun way to protect your iPad”, the socks are designed to save your iPad from scratches and dints. The sock is a lot cheaper than the other two products described here, at only $3.20. Available online from HongKong Gofar Ltd.
