Convert DVD to iPad Format - Super Simple with Gskstudio (Tutorial)
|
EDIT: This software is for Windows Users Only. For MAC, try HandBrake
Normally, I try not to post about software if I haven't used it for personal use. It also takes a lot for me to stand by a product.
With that being said, Gskstudio's DVD to iPad Converter is a definite must have for all movie lovers.
Why? Because it's ridiculously simple to convert your favorite DVDs, AVIs, etc. to iPad Format. So simple in fact, I wrote this tutorial while Aliens in the Attic was converting to iPad Format.
First off, the price for this software is very cheap - $14.95 to be specific. This product is worth its weight in gold - it takes literally less than 3 minutes to set this up and have your movie converting. Below we wrote a short tutorial on how to get started with this DVD to iPad Converter.
Step 1:
Download/Purchase the Software Here. They also offer a Free trial version, which can be downloaded here. After you download whichever version you'll be using, go ahead and follow the installation steps to install. Once again, very simple to do.
Step 2:
After the installation is complete, go ahead and run the software. There should be a desktop icon if you chose to have one. Once you run it, you'll see the below screen:
Go ahead and click the Add button in the top left hand corner. This will bring you to the next screen:
Click the Profile Drop down menu and change it to iPad MPEG-4 Video (Normal Quality) (*.mp4). You can experiment with other profile settings, but I have found this one to be a good quality and a faster conversion overall. The higher the quality, the longer the conversion will take.
Step 3:
Click the Save As button, and then click Save. Name the movie whatever you want. Since I'm downloading Aliens in the Attic, I changed it to Aliens in the attic. Save the File name and hit OK. Highlight the movie and Click the Start button. This will begin the Video conversion.
Step 4:
One the conversion is finished, click the location icon to find the Movie in the Windows Explorer. Minimize for now.
Step 5:
Open up iTunes (make sure your iPad is connected) and click on your device name. Under Devices, you should see a Movies Link - click it.
Step 6:
Drag the newly converted movie file from the original location into iTunes. Once the upload to your iPad is complete, Click the Movies icon on your iPad and find your movie.
Step 7:
Sit back and enjoy the show.
We hope you enjoyed this tutorial. Now, go find a movie, kick back, and relax. It's Friday!
